Figure Drawing: Week Three

Here are the figure drawings I have done the past week in class and in the open drawing lab held on Friday mornings. Enjoy!

Also here are some caricatures of a couple girls in my figure drawing class! I figure if you are drawing during the lecture in an art class it's okay-- it's like studying, right? :D

FIGURE DRAWING!!!!

So I managed to finagle my way into the Intermediate Figure Drawing for Illustrators class (even though I'm still not in the program)! It worked for the Beginning class and now I have managed to be in two classes that only majors are supposed to take. Hooray! Experience! And gosh darn it I've missed figure drawing! It's been a year since I took the last class and while Painting last semester was fairly fun and very informative, nothing beats drawing figures. I love it.

(I'm already assuming that, since this is an art blog, you are well-aware that there are going to be all sorts of drawings of people in bikinis and speedos and you are okay with that.)

Doodling in Class

What a great start to the semester! It is only two weeks into school and I have already doodled/sketched out almost 10 for-fun drawings! That's much better than last semester. I think having a Figure Drawing class (as opposed to only a Painting class) really helps me with my own work.
